The Jaguar Collection: Brixton x Fender
Amplify your style with pieces celebrating the 60th birthday of an iconic guitar.
Enter the Fender Jaguar, an impressive, dual-circuit (rhythm/lead) guitar with a shapely offset body, short 24-inch scale length neck, cool floating tremolo system, tons of new features for a wide range of sounds—and lots and lots of chrome. Prized for its striking looks and subversive personality, the distinctive jangle of the Jaguar was embraced by the surf music scene—and later alternative and indie rock.
Our past collaboration with Fender was a dream come true and we’re excited to partner with them again to honor the Jaguar’s sixth decade. While designing the Brixton x Fender collection, we channeled the Jaguar’s bold spirit and leaned into the ‘90s underground grunge scene for inspiration with oversized ‘60s plaids, textured fabrics and ‘90s art prints. (And, of course, listened to Nevermind on repeat.)
While designing our lineup of Fender flannel jackets, hoodies, tees, hats, snapbacks and beanies, we thought a lot about how truly genius musicians always have a distinct style of playing—often defined by the way they break the so-called rules. Cobain’s open slide riffs, volume swells, neck-tap noise and manic vibrato are examples that come to mind, and the versatility of the Jaguar was a perfect muse for his original approach.
Just like our favorite unconventional musicians, we hope you’ll wear these Brixton x Fender ready-for-anything pieces while breaking a few style rules of your own.
Happy 60th birthday, Fender Jaguar. We’re proud to celebrate your legacy with a collection that pays homage to your history, the many guitarists who love you and the music you’ve inspired.
