Anders SCRMN Meisner is a long time friend of the brand and painter out of Copenhagen, Denmark. We united with Anders this Spring to work on a small batch of uniquely hand painted customized products.

“I wanted to see if I could get some paintings on Brixton clothes. What I’ve been looking for is more the iconic aspects of my work because I think that works really well on clothing. Some of the elements that you see painted on the clothes are sort of cut out of my paintings and put on the clothes.

What I like about these icons is that they have a symbolic meaning.

Take the cherry for example. It’s a thing of Spring and Summer. It has vibrant colors. When people look at it they’re reminded of the taste. It is kind of like a sensual fruit. And that makes it super appealing to paint.

A lot of the art that is being made right now is inspired by the circumstances. That’s where the Partisan comes from. I always look for intense colors for these icons and I want them to pop.”

This collaboration between Brixton and Anders SCRMN Meisner supports a meaningful cause. All proceedings of this capsule collection will go to Border Kindness, an organization who provides asylum-seekers, migrants, refugees, and the displaced with comprehensive services that include food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and legal services.
